VIDEO: Watch Yaya Toure's stunning strike for Ivory Coast

The Manchester City midfielder helped his country on their way to the Afcon final by smashing an unstoppable strike from range past Robert Kidiaba in the DR Congo goal

Ivory Coast booked their place in the Africa Cup of Nations final on Wednesday, with Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure in inspirational form for his country.

The former Barcelona star led by example as he smashed an unstoppable volley from just outside the box into the back of the net to put his side 1-0 up against DR Congo in the semi-final clash in Bata.

Dieumerci Mbokani equalised almost immediately after before former Arsenal winger Gervinho made it 2-1 with five minutes of the first half remaining, sweeping the ball past Robert Kidiaba and into the corner.

And ADO Den Haag centre-back Wilfried Kanon made sure of the victory midway through the second half to send Ivory Coast into Sunday’s final, in which they will face either Ghana or Equatorial Guinea.
