Since then, they have gone on to make more than 500 appearances combined in all competitions, helping the club to two Premier League titles.
Few players have played more of an instrumental role in those successes, with both Toure and Silva named to the Premier League Team of the Year in 2011-12 and Toure making the cut again in 2013-14.
The Ivorian appeared to have played his last game for City after being frozen out by Pep Guardiola earlier this season, but returned to the fold in November with a two-goal performance against Crystal Palace.
Silva, meanwhile, has continued to play a key part under the new coach, appearing in 14 of City’s 16 games so far in 2016-17.
